Founded in 1950, GMTA is comprised of professional musicians who are committed to excellence in music instruction, offering lessons in piano, organ, voice, strings and woodwinds. An affiliate of Florida State Music Teachers Association (FSMTA) and Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), GMTA is the only local MTA in FSMTA District III which includes Alachua, Bradford, Columbia, Dixie, Gilchrist, Hamilton, Lafayette, Levy, Madison, Marion, Putnam, Suwannee, Taylor, and Union counties.
